The Mountainside Play Mat has gorgeous scenery and colors, with majestic mountains in the background, a river, and a mountainside in the foreground wtih grass, flowers and trees. It was designed to coordinate with our newest layered board book, "Discovering Nature on the Mountainside" (sold separately).
 
This Mountainside Play Mat pairs perfectly with so many of our wooden block sets, including our Woodland Animals, Camping, Hiking, Plant Your Own Flowers, and more. All block sets are sold separately.
 
The Mountainside Play Mat is our mini size, which is 14x12 inches, and is made of a non-slip neoprene material similar to a mouse pad or wet suit. Easy for little ones to use, as it won't slide around like a laminated sheet might. It has a smooth surface with a crisp image, and easily rolls up like a poster for storage.
 
Add some blocks and you're ready for play-based learning! Use the mat as a small world background, use it for bookish play and storytelling, use it for homeschool studies on the moutain habitat, etc.
