At Applewood Toys, we want to give you the most enjoyable shopping experience - one that will keep you coming back to our store time and time again. That’s why we want the shopping experience to be transparent, with no questions left unanswered. If you still have a question after reading through our FAQ's, please send us a message! 

Turnaround Time

Our turnaround time for orders is typically between 1 to 4 weeks. For the current turnaround times, please see the banner at the top of our website.

Shipping Costs

Our shipping costs are an estimate, based upon the dollar amount of your order. We use a tiered system, to get the estimate as close as possible. If there is any shipping overage, we will refund it upon packaging. If you spend $185 or more, you will get free shipping!

The shipping cost may seem a little high, but that is because we try to use Priority Shipping whenever possible. This ensures timely delivery of your order (2-4 business days for domestic orders), with tracking and insurance. This is the safest way we have found to get your order in your hands! This prevents lost packages and extended shipping delays from the carrier.

International Orders

Applewood Toys is located within the US, but we do offer international shipping on all items!

 

Canada & the UK: Currently there are shipping options for Canada and the United Kingdom. As with domestic shipping, these are just estimates and any shipping overage will be refunded to you. If you'd like a more accurate shipping cost up front, you can send us a message. Please be sure to include the shipping address to which the order will be shipped, and a list or screenshot of your intended order item(s). We can then set up a custom shipping quote for you based upon the weight of your particular order and your address.

All Other Countries: We ship to you! To provide an accurate shipping cost, please send us a message with the shipping address and a list or screenshot of your intended order item(s). Where are items made?

All items made by Applewood Toys are handmade in Denver, Colorado. They are handcrafted in small batches.

We also offer a variety of items from other small businesses, such as children's books, play mats, playdough bio-cutters, etc. These are sourced from other small businesses and publishers, to pair with our handcrafted wooden toys and figurines. The majority of these are made within the US. There are a few items sourced from small businesses in France, Germany and Australia. We try to include the location of each small business on the individual product pages.

What materials are used in production?

Our handmade wooden toys and figurines are made using premium pine wood and a non-toxic sealant. They are safe for little ones, but should not be submerged in water as they are not waterproof. Some sets may include small blocks that are not suitable for children under 3, as they may pose a choking hazard. Parental supervision is recommended.

Collaborations and Wholesale

We typically do not give away our products for free through collaborations. Instead, we have a Brand Rep program, in which participants receive a discount on products ordered, in exchange for social media coverage and photos for use in marketing materials. Brand Rep terms are quarterly, for 3-month periods. For details, please follow us on Instagram. Applications are accepted through Instagram only.

If you have a large social media following (75K or more) and would like to do a one-time collaboration, please send us a message and we'll see if we can work out terms for a collaboration.

If you are a small business and would like to collaborate on a kit or product, please send us a message! We'd love to hear your ideas. We have provided many of our handmade wooden blocks at wholesale cost to other small businesses to include as part of their subscription boxes, sensory kits, playdough kits, etc.

If you own a small shop, whether Brick & Mortar or Online, and would like to sell our handmade items, please contact us! We do offer wholesale and are currently working on our wholesale line sheets and website, to make purchasing even easier. We offer a 30% wholesale discount. Please send us a message with the details of your shop and the item(s) in which you are interested.
